About Hehku

Why we built Hehku

Hehku (HEH-koo) is Finnish for glow. We built it because finding a good sauna in Australia meant digging through maps, social posts and out-of-date listings, and because buying advice for saunas was full of marketing claims.

So we check every venue by hand against its own website, list venues by suburb without ranking them, and write plain answers to the questions people actually ask, from etiquette to low EMF testing.

We care about quality: well-built saunas, honest specifications and the traditions that make sauna worth doing properly.

Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we'll fix it.
